Please contact Giles for details or to discuss commissions…
Giles came to magazine collage from a background in Graphic Design, and discovered a way of blending fragments of print to create vibrant landscapes. The medium also allows great flexibility to combine incongruous details in a surreal and often humorous way.
Mostly based on his own reference photos, Giles is inspired by the effects of different light conditions on a landscape and particularly enjoys the Peak District, and the mountains and coasts of Wales. He enjoys working on commissions and sells limited edition Giclee prints and cards of his work. Currently, Giles is finding fresh inspiration working en plein air – as long as the wind isn’t too strong!
Giles appeared in two series of the BBC One art show: ‘Home is where the art is’. In 2022 No Pleasure Cruise was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
I regularly participate at different events where you can interact with me in person and see my collages up close. Alternatively, I welcome you to visit one of the galleries that features my work.
Thank you for taking an interest in my magazine collage artwork. Please email me regarding private commissions, exhibitions, opportunities and any other enquiries!
